If you have been declared bankrupt then this would
appear on your credit file. If you are not sure what information is kept on your
credit file then
click here to see an example of a crdit file.
Once you have been declared bankrupt then this will
appear on your credit file for seven years from the date of listing for
bankruptcy.
You will however be discharged from bankruptcy after
three years. Although it is not illegal to borrow money whilst in bankruptcy,
most lenders will not lend money in this situation.
Once you have been discharged from bankruptcy
you do have options in terms of finding a lender to loan you money for a
auto car loan.
IMPORTANT NOTE
Once you have been discharged from bankruptcy,
it will be very important that you do not incur any further defaults on your
credit file. If you do then it will become very difficult for you to
obtain any type of loan for some time from a reputable lender.
